A Closer Look - "End of the Line" |
|
Inside the Art: When deciding to do a painting featuring his favorite car chase scenes, Michael had to narrow down the field. He did this by choosing to include only Mustangs and Mopars. With such a diverse ensemble cast, the setting became the next challenge. This is where Michael's incredible eye for detail really comes into play. He chose to create a backdrop based on scenes from each of the movies. Look closely, and you'll discover bullodozers (Vanishing Point), a locomotive (Dirty Mary Crazy Larry), a dead-end Las Vegas alley (Diamonds are Forever), a car wash (Gone in 60 seconds) and a service station (Bullitt). |

It is used to discourage people from attempting to download and reproduce the print. Of course with the low resolution of images on-line versus the high resolution, high-quality of the actual print, this isn't really possible, but you never know! ©2006 COPYRIGHT MICHAEL IRVINE STUDIOS INC. |
