• Michael takes on 1-2 commissions a year, as his schedule allows. Prices start at $5000 for a single car and go from there.
• Once a price is agreed upon, a 50% deposit is required to begin, with the balance due upon completion.
• The original painting is delivered to you, framed. Michael Irvine Studios retains all reproduction rights, unless otherwise agreed upon.

G I C L E E  P R I N T S

• Pronounced "zhee-clay".  The word "giclée", from the French language word "le gicleur" meaning "nozzle", or more specifically "gicler" meaning "to squirt, spurt, or spray." Giclée is a method of reproducing limited artwork that can produce reproductions that, at first glance, mimic the original. Giclée printing has the advantage of allowing the artist to control every aspect of the image, its color, and the substrate printed on, in very limited runs. Michael's giclées are printed on watercolor paper, giving them the look of a watercolor original.

• Over the years we've had many collectors interested in Michael's original watercolor paintings and we have let a few pieces go. For sentimental reasons, we have chosen to keep many of them and have been fortunate to able to do so. Infact, the walls in our home and studio are lined with art. As Michael's focus has shifted predominantly from commercial work to the automotive art and his portfolio has grown, we find that we are running out of wall space. It's time to find some of these pieces new homes.
    
• Michael uses traditional watercolor paints on a watercolor board. Reproductions are 100% of the originals. Therefore the image sizes listed on the print pages, are the same as the original paintings. All originals are framed. Due to the high risk of glass breakage during transportation, unless otherwise discussed or alternate delivery arrangements are made, the originals are framed using UV grade plexi-glass.
    
• The originals being offered are all the property of Michael, himself. Reproduction rights of all orginals remain with Michael Irvine Studios.
